The distribution of occupations varies greatly among States in the United States. For example, Nevada is rich in gambling administrators, California has many farm workers, and in Texas, it is easier for oil engineers to find jobs. Because of the diversification of regional development, each state has a symbolic occupation, which reflects the economic advantages of each place from the side. Of course, school teachers, postmen and retailers are all common in the United States, and these occupations often occupy the largest share of the labor force in each state.

The reasons for this difference are closely related to the geographical location, natural resources and industrial distribution of each state. For example, it is difficult to distribute oil and natural gas resources evenly. Therefore, in Texas, the largest oil-producing state in the United States, the demand for petroleum engineers is greater than other occupations.

Industrial development is also different. Take Nevada as an example. Las Vegas has a well-developed gambling industry and casinos need service personnel, so there are the most gambling supervisors here. 28.3% of such jobs in the United States are gathered here.

Although there is a certain correlation between occupational concentration and economic contribution, it cannot fully reflect the economic situation of each state. 95% commercial aircraft in the United States are produced in Washington state, and aerospace engineers should become the most representative occupation in the state. However, the publishing industry is the biggest contributor to Washington State’s GDP. The same thing happened in new york, where banking and finance contributed the most to the national economy, but financial practitioners were not the most distinctive jobs, and new york had the highest concentration of fashion designers.

American media 24/7 Wall St evaluated the most representative occupations in each state by comparing the employment data published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Generally speaking, blue-collar skilled workers have the greatest demand, but unlike ordinary jobs, their fields are more subdivided.
